"Real School, Inc" is a title with a good dose of humor, and a touch of rebellion. Because it's neither a "School", nor an "Inc." (Not yet at least; it will probably incorporate as a non-profit soon). RSI is founded on the well-known educational principles of learner-centered education and play-based learning. These beautiful principles of growth and development apply to children and adults alike. They can happen anytime, anywhere, and the lessons learned this way are the ones that stick with us for a lifetime.
Christine and Morgan have been in early childhood education for over 40 years. Decades ago they collaborated on a small home-group and grew it into a beautiful little school. Now they're growing again: reinventing old ideas and exploring new ones. A playgroup? A parent group? A community center? All three? What does "school" really mean? What should it really mean?
Morgan Graham has a nurturing spirit; everyone who knows her sees it - even in her time of retirement and health issues, it would shine through. Now it's found a new outlet in her Eagle Rock play group. Morgan is reinvigorated, and excited to see this new endeavor flourish and expand. Christine Lonergan has always been a rebel, and doesn't plan to quit anytime soon. She's never been a fan of phrases like "You can't do that," "That's not how its done," "It's always been that way." She'd rather ask "Why not? Says who? How about a change?" She loves kids because they don't accept boundaries - they dream and they do. If they fall, they get up, and before long they fly.
